Electro-Spec has seen its share of unique requests for products and components to be electroplated. With an innovative technology like Spouted Bed Electrode (SBE), we are able to plate Gold, Nickel, Electroless Nickel, Palladium, and Copper.
One of the most unique items we’ve been requested to gold plate was a Slinky. Although we would have enjoyed being part of this one-off idea, we had to focus on using our SBE technology to plate our RF/microwave, aerospace, automotive, and medical customer’s parts and components.
Specifically, our SBE process is designed to plate:

- Flat parts
- Parts with counter bores
- Parts with tabs
- Parts that nest
- Difficult geometry
